The Importance of CPR Training and Certification. CPR helps keep blood and oxygen flowing and dramatically increases the chances of survival in those who suffer a cardiac arrest. During a cardiac arrest the heart can’t pump blood to tissue and organ so death can occur in minutes without external assistance. According to the CDC, heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S., claiming the lives of more than 600,000 people each year. Cardiac arrest can occur at any time; in fact, it’s the #1 killer worldwide. Most CA incidences (69.5%) occur in the home. Another 18.8% occur in public.

Basic Life Support (BLS) course trains healthcare providers or layperson how to perform CPR on adults, children, and infants. It helps to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies and when to give high-quality CPR. You'll learn to perform one-person CPR, Hands-Only CPR and CPR as part of a team. The course will teach you the how and why on using an AED. The course is fun and energetic.
